Yep, confirmed: http://www.wba.co.uk/page/News/0,,10366~2595788,00.html
Better than I'd expected him to do, to be honest, but shows he's very much a Premier League player. Free transfer too - not a huge surprise considering he was apparently getting a pay rise for every appearance he made for Blackburn.

Excellent. Hodgson gets more out of average players than any other manager in the league i would say
As good a move as we could have hoped for. I hope Blackburn go down anyway..
It's Gas.. We'd all have S Reid in the middle like a shot, but he'll probbly be at right back with Andrews in the middle at club level.
Some amount of irish players in the midlands at the moment too when you think about it!
Good move for Keith. He has done a good job for us and I am glad that he has secured a good result.
Could turn out to be a great move for him. Long and Cox there too to link up with him. I've a feeling we'll all be a bit more optimistic come June with a good half season's performance behind a lot of our lads
Folding my way into the big money!!!
Very true. Of the squad for the Estonia game, January has seen moves for Gibson, Andrews, McShane and Keogh. Regarding the two men arguably most in contention for starting berths, Gibson and Andrews have secured promising moves. Gibson's is working out well thus far, now the onus is on Andrews to push on for the remainder of the season in the PL. Realistically, the three primary centre mid options of Whelan, Gibson and Andrews could finish up the season on the back of strong runs of regular PL football. This doesn't even take into account James McCarthy. Fingers crossed.
From what Keith said on SSN last night it sounded like Hodgson tried to bring him in when he was in charge at Fulham too. I've no particular feelings toward Blackburn either way but there's a section of their support that seem unreasonably demanding and...unpleasant. Wouldn't mind Andrews and Kean getting some simile of last laugh over that crowd.
Good move for Andrews. It really does bode well for the Euros just how many first-team and squad players we have playing week in and week out. I remember a few years ago, many (most?) of our regular starters were warming the benches at their respective clubs.
He did. Allardyce (I think) signed him up on an improved contract in reaction - which turned out to be completely ridiculous and probably why the club were so eager to get rid of him.

Strange that he had to submit a written transfer request before he was allowed to leave, considering they were keen to see the back of him. I can't take to Kean, he sounds like a life coach for downbeats.

It's something to do with compensation from the selling club, I think. If he didn't hand in a written request he would be entitled to something... I'm open to correction though.
Correct Dr.
DID YOU NOTICE A SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE...?
I thought he went on a free.

No, as in a loyalty payment from Blackburn to Andrews himself. The loyalty payment is generally forfeited when the player makes an official request to be transferred. I think Fabregas, for instance, received £4.4m from Arsenal because he never officially lodged a request. He's not exactly receiving that amount (I think Barcelona included it in the fee to Arsenal and it's subsequently been deducted from his wages), but the principle stands.
Andrews saved Blackburn a few pound and sacrificed a few pound of his own in order to get the move. Kudos for that.
Provides an assist on his debut to put the Baggies 2-1 up.
