Bohs-Drogs Cup clash switched

The FAI Carlsberg Cup quarter-final clash between Bohemians and Drogheda United has been switched for a second time, and will now kick-off at the later time of 8pm on Saturday evening, September 13th.

The match between the sides had originally been fixed for Friday, September 12th at O2 Park, but was changed to a day later by the eircom fixtures committee.

A 5pm Saturday afternoon fixture was fixed, but that has since been changed again, to a more amenable 8pm start-time.

Bohs enter the match as favourites after they cruised through to the last eight of the competition with wins over Dundalk and Skerries Town, while managerless Drogheda have squeezed past Finn Harps and UCD to make it through to the fourth round.

If the game should go to a replay, it has been fixed for Tuesday, September 16 at Dalymount Park and with a single goal only separating the sides in their two meetings this season so far, that may be very much on the cards.

Meanwhile, Bohs’ eircom Premier Division meeting with Derry City fixed for this coming Monday, September 8th has once again been postponed and as yet no alternative date has been fixed.
