Good statement by the club i think.

A number of points pleased me about this statement.
    1:they admitted mistakes were made
2:they said monthly public forums will be held to increase information flow.
3:ticket prices reduced for remaining home games.
4:they said kenna wont be leaving and will be here till 2010,i think this is vital as he IS a good manager.
5:Glynn isnt on the list of players going.
Now que around 4/5 of you replying to this post saying "this is all spin","these are all lies","nothing pleasing about this" etc etc, blah, blah. As a season ticket holder i do feel appeased by this statement,of course i bknow actions speak louder then words but they have come out with this so lets just all move on now to Shhhligo on Friday and our first home league win.

No problem with the statement except for the dig at the players about the season tickets. The decline in these was solely down to the pricing as I found out myself while trying to sell them. Deego is a big loss as Reggi would be but as long as that is the end of it we still have a chance and we still dont know about Jeff and Ians situation vis a vis playing.

The transparency and accountability has to continue with a broader base of people involved in the key decision making and not letting it go back to the way it was being run.

Now lads its down to all of us who had our battles on here to get out sell tickets and get up off your arce with your friends for every home game this season.

Sad to see Deegan leave as I rated him a very good midfield player that gave 100% same for Wes. Hopefully Murphs will do the business now he's back.

Hopefully Reggi and Robbo wil stay as well but we'll see....

Onwards and Upwards from here on!!

    Bring on da Sligo!!

    Players out

Sorry to see Deegan going.... he carried John Russell in a lot of games ergo all the yellows he got.... We'd best sort out centre mid quickly as we've allowed teams to play through us too much this season especially late when Russell runs out of puff.....
Wes was a great servant of the club as well, had his flaws but gave all for the cause,
Is Rodgers on the way out as well?

Rumours are that Deegan left the club to go on trial with Brighton, if that falls through Rovers are interested in him.

Sorry to see Deegan go, but to be honest we would miss him in a lot of games this season - he has another suspension coming uo soon for receiving 8 yellow cards, think he has since picked up a ninth. As far as I know, he will soon be getting 2 game suspension for picking up more bookings than a top wedding band, so better to cut our losses IMO

Well done to GUFC on being so honest and forthcoming. It offers a glimmer of sunlight in the smog that we find ourselves stuck in.

    Onwards and upwards.
