Question World Student Games in Beijing

Anyone know a site where details of this tournament can be accessed? In English now, mind, my Chinese gets a bit rusty after a number 24...

    Thanks,
    Gerry

Didn't Ireland win their first game 2-0 or something? Tired to find report on irish site with team lineout to no avail. a2zsoccer.com had brief report though.

Ireland beat Iran 3-0 last week and China (I think) 3-0 yesterday (I think).

    Talking Here ya go!!!

    21st Iniversiade (World University Games)

    irish results:
    3-0 Iran
    0-3 Chech Repub
    1-5 Japan
    3-0 Nigeria (TYNAN JOHN,ANTHONY scorer!)

Take a look at the weird "position graph" stats! Nigeria let in an own-goal so Have the Nigerian fella listed as a score too

    Exclamation Final games

Apparently Ireland played Iran (again) on thursday or friday last. That site says Ireland lost 6-4 but that includes 5 penalties for them & 3 for us so i'll assume Ireland lost 5-3 in the shootout after a 1-1 draw. Think that measn Ireland came 11th.........

BTW 'Anthony' Tynan scored again. Be interesting to know what position he played too.

Interesting too that one of the Iranians - Ali Karkonazari - is recorded as scoring TWICE in the shoot-out!
Re-match, I say!! We want that 11th place...
