Ridiculous. It was no more "racist" than the "culchie sheep shaggers -- Dublin junkies" stuff you hear here every weekend and likewise in every country across Europe

It only got a reaction because that dick Sarkozy made a song and dance about it to try and regain a bit of his reputation.

Does anybody know how long the banner was allowed to remain up? If the stewards took it down as soon as it was noticed / opposition fans complained, there's not much more the club could have done. If they allowed it to stay up, that would be a problem.

Anyway, being banned from the league cup won't bother them so much I'd imagine. Now that this precedent has been set, we might be seeing similar banners in the home grounds of any club who sees the league cup as a irrelevance.

Themselves, Lens, and Toulouse are all level on points, with PSG being 3rd bottom on goal difference

In my opinion, Bordeaux have been the best team to watch, they like to play a passing attacking game. But whether they are good enough to be better than Lyon this season is up for debate, Lyon all season have not been playing really well, only 1 or 2 games, they have been themselves.

I think Lens will go down, they are play Bordeaux and the best for them would be a draw with PSG at safe Sochaux and Toulouse playing Valenciennes, I think Lens are doomed, pity Ligue 1 is losing its high standards it use to have.

    Just to complete the fixtures

RC Lens fell at the final hurdle and joined RC Strasbourg and FC Metz (Donner und Blitzen) in Ligue 2 next season.

One thing I learned from this site is the fixtures for next season are already posted. It's good for planning but they appear to be exact same (not even opposite) of the season just past. That's too easy, I'm not convinced yet.
