only for about 300 people. There are lots of professional golfers who struggle to make a living. There's a few pros who play tournaments on a circuit over here and they win fcuk all money.

Yes I know what this is. It's fairly popular with "old" pub go-ers in Carlow, Laois and Kildare. I know the game by another name - not sure of the spelling but it sounds like "Meghers". Basically two metal rods are placed in the ground about 30 feet from each other and auld lads throw horseshoes at these rods with the objective of getting them as close as possible to the rods.

Has nobody else heard of this game?

    Same as football really

But joking aside, they do have national championships and there are a number of clubs in the counties I mentioned.

    Thats gas.

A far more popular sport, with near 100% population participation, is rubbish-throwing; the artful game of launching an exhausted sweet wrapper or breakfast roll tinfoil covering to a 1 foot x 1 foot office bin. Double scores for no rim, halve scores for in off the wall -unless- from an obstructed position.

    €5000 please.
