    Graham Kavanagh

Bone crunching, ball passing midfield anchor man. Just what we're missing at the moment if you ask me. Just got himself promoted into the English First Division with Cardiff (as captain). I've always thought he deserved to be playing for a Premier League team. Takes a mean free kick too. Exactly the same weight and height and looks as Roy Keane...

Should Kerr give him a run out?

I wait and see how he does in the 1st division next season. I'm sure Kerr will look at him for friendlies in the new year if he's doing well.

I think Kavanagh suffers from lack of ambition. He should have gone to a premiership club years ago and scored for Ireland as well a great one it was too.

I think that's unfair. He felt that Cardiff were a better bet to go up so took a chance and moved. His judgement may be open to question but given that Cardiff seemed to be moving at the time it was a good move on paper and he's probably as surprised as anybody it took so long to reach the first division.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

i remember about 6-7 years ago (after the 98 qualifying group had been drawn) myself and a mate of mine were discussing who'd play in midfield with keane. we were talking about 2 mid-fielders who were playing in the first and were supposed to be good, graham kavanagh and mark kinsella. at the end of the season stoke got relegated and kavanagh went nowhere. charlton got promoted to the premiership and kinsella's gone on to play in the world cup. ah, its a funny old game saint.
