Didn't Aliadiere have 3 clubs last season - Celtic, West Ham and Wolves. Surely some sort of record?
Nah, sure didn't steve claridge have 3 in a month!

How long did he spend at Celtic? 2 days?
    It hardly counts.

Aliadiére was at Celtic for just under 2 months - http://www.soccerbase.com/players_de...playerid=28839
Although a lot of that time was preseason, he did play in several friendlies, and the 2 games against Artmedia Bratislava

It wasn't one season but Stephen Kelly played in the 4 divisions in England with 4 different teams all in 2003.

    Stokes takes young player prize

Stokes has been in fine goal-scoring form for Falkirk
Falkirk striker Anthony Stokes has been named as the SPL's young player of the month for October.
The 18-year-old, on loan from Arsenal, scored six goals last month, including a hat-trick against Dundee United at the weekend.

The teenage forward hit a double the week before in a 3-2 defeat at Inverness and grabbed a late goal to secure a home draw against St Mirren.

Stokes has made eight appearances since moving to the Bairns in September.

Have no doubt that Stokes is a quality player with excellent potential but having observed him from an early age or more importantly having observed his father on the sidelines I hope that some of the arrogance and plain bad attitude that was bred into him doesn't hold him back... wasn't surprised at there being "rumours" last season that the father thinks he should be played as a centre forward rather than as a winger... typical of the guy that he would think that he knows better than Wenger....

I think I read recently that his dad had taken a position helping Irish youngsters to get trials in England, or to help them get settled in England, I'm not sure of the specifics

Watching him so far at Falkirk he reminds me a bit of Jimmy Hasselbaink in demanding to take set pieces and things like that. I suppose it means he's less likely to suffer from confidence and a bit of arrogance is good in a player.

His father, John, is a football consultant. He works in Ireland for the Stellar Group in the UK. See here.
This is the group whose chairman is Jonathan Barnett, the agent who was suspended for 18 months for his part in the Ashley Cole tapping up affair.

I've uploaded an interview with Stokes from last night on NewsTalk - get it here: http://rapidshare.com/files/1784652/...rview.mp3.html
Sound quality is a bit iffy in places, I was recording it from the live stream.

Interesting stuff, much appreciated!!!! Theres a striking smack of confidence off the boy which i think is brilliant. His aim is to be top scorer in the SPL, which is great to hear from such a young lad

Stokes has just scored after a minute for Falkirk against Dunfermline. His 7th goal in 4 games with the whole match still to play.

Is he on a season long loan? Or is it under review at Christmas? Think i'll go down and put a tenner on him as top scorer come May regardless.

Just shows what confidence can do. His first few games were quiet & no goals scored. Three so far today.

I can't help feeling that both Jack and even Mick were well able to give a young player great confidence when making an early debut for Ireland. Even Kerr to an extent.

Don't believe Staunton can get near to instilling the same level of confidence in a young player.
