Got a new PC last week (a supercharged one that does everything bar buying the pints and making toast) - with Vista and Outlook 2007 loaded onto it.
There's a little app in Vista called "Windows Calendar" - which is basically the Calendar function in Outlook extracted and made a standalone piece of software.
Anyway - one feature of it is the "Internet Calendar" - to which a user subscribes and downloads the content contained within every few days (mainly used for business functions).
Who would be interested in subscribing to an Internet Calendar for Outlook or Windows Vista - containing all the eircom League fixtures for the rest of the season - with a reminder at the start of the relevant day listing the League/European/Cup games taking place - and links to any online coverage?
Kom Igen, FCK...
The foot.ie calendar never took off and i really cant understand why. As regards updating it, its simple, really easy to use. The content, fixtures have been tried, media coverage has been tried, fund raising and club events has been tried.
In my opinion, getting the info out to fans is paramount, thats why i stayed at it for so long. Its a great resource, or any resource similar. I dont use Outlook but definitely think its worth go for it. If it makes life easy then its a good thing.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
