Could you edit your final message to say that these allegations have been proven false for the record?

yes. a certain greasy cameraman started the rumour and let the rest of them in on the 'joke' later.

Given your insistence that posters in the previously mentioned thread provide proof in the form of links, where is your proof or link to that claim?


As Dodge says, it is obvious they haven't been proved, and most likely never can be, as it seems to be false.

Having said that, the onus is on people to prove something true.

The onus is on the original poster to prove it true, having made the allegation, and this hasn't been done.

He has later withdrawn that charge and I belive admitted he made it up for a laugh. No-one else heard anything, Rovers, Bozo or neutral.

"I believe".....should we just take your word for it? And I dont believe that the original poster has (as of yet) withdrawn the allegation, just apologised for introducing the topic in the way they did, without evidence at hand at that time to pove it. (If I am wrong on this, feel free to correct me)

I'm not trying to say that the allegations have any foundation in truth, and indeed I think there is no truth to them, mainly as if there were, the evidence would have been produced by now.

My point is that you saying that nobody heard it or saw it is not enough, by itself, to make it obviously false. It has neither been proved true or untrue, although the onus is very much on those who introduced the allegation to prove it true, not Rovers fans (or others) to have to disprove it.

My original post (perhaps poorly written) was not trying to say that unless you could prove something that is unproveable, then you are still under suspicion. But given that the original poster has not retraced his claim, I would not say that the issue has been "proven" to be false, to the degree you believe.
