They'd snap Keane off us in an instant. It always suprises me how high the Germans rate Keane.

If we had 11 players of inferior skill playing with pride and a game plan we would have a chance so i feel the argument is pointless.

Doyle is just as good (if not better) than both their strikers and certainly better than Keane.

Duffer would make the squad on reputation.

Finnan would walk into the team and Dunne is probably better than any of their current centre halfs. Their right side of midfield is as strong/weak as ours. They have an incredibly strong central midfield.

Can't see past Given under normal circumstances. Several of the German internationals at Bayern are having a very poor season (Schweinsteiger & Podolski in particular) and Odonkor is out with a long-term injury so we might sneak a wide player in or Keane might get the last 15mins of a game, but that's about it.

If there was a German striker who had Doyle's record in the Premiership thsi season he'd be in their squad.

He'd probably make the squad but with Gomez on 13 goals this season and Klose and Kuranyi each on 11 and Podolski being a class act despite not have a great season he wouldn't have it easy.

Interesting to see that of the top four German strikers, two are of Polish origin, one Spanish and one Brazilian. And to think we kicked up such a fuss over the Emelka lad.

I would say though that he's scoring in a tougher league than the Bundesliga.

None of our players are eligible to play for Germany.

Is Oliver Neuville still playing, 'cos he was born in Switzerland, his father is German and his mother is Italian and his grandfather is Belgian.
