If anything its a template for clubs on how not to do it. There are actually valuable lessons to be learnt here. We are know it was wreckless, its no suprise hoe it ended up but the media will do their best to avoid that i'd say.
... is going to be very interesting to read.
This (correct) decision by the FAI is going to be portrayed very badly I reckon. Nows the time for all that money set aside for promotion of the league to start being used.
The Shelbourne Shambles will no doubt have alot of column inches tomorrow in every paper. The FAI and the clubs need to turn this into something positive. There will be more recognition of the league than ever by this time tomorrow, for better or for worse.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
The rags missed their deadlines to get more than a few inches
Well still, it's gonna be all over the morning radio, and all over the news on the telly tomoz night. It's a huge story. And one that we should try and spin into something positive.

It was the main story on sportsline on TV3, but they only gave it 4-5 minutes tops, and didnt come down hard on anyone.
Its so obvious that the announcement was delayed to ensure the newspaper coverage of the Setanta Cup launch wasn't overshadowed by the news of Shelbourne.
They didnt even mention it on Today FM news last night.
Think it was the 12 bulletin I caught, all the footy news
was about Spurs tough cup draw with Chelsea.
Newstalk gave a few sentences on it during their report.

Its a difficult one. Is this a success of licencing?
2 responses:
- This is a failure of licening as the FAI should have spotted this earlier.
- This is a success as without this process would be no way of denying Shels a place in the Premier & they could continue on their ways possibly folding mid-season.
this is a kick in the ******** to all first div teams who have worked hard to attain there licenses.
I wish i did not know then what I dont know now
