    Cheltentham Festival Bets

The going is shaping up like easy ground so I think I'll back Celestial Wave in the World Hurdle.

I've already backed In Compliance for the Gold Cup but its a doubtful runner

Depends on the ground 12th man so I'll hold off on any predictions for another week. As long as it's not heavy then Black Jack Ketchum would take all the beating in the World Hurdle though IMO.

Denman has to be favoured in the Sun Alliance and Kauto Star obviously if he can stay on his feet but a lot can happen weather wise yet.

Probably wise to wait alright but difficult not to speculate. The markets will turn on their heads if it stays soft.

Just the one. Kasbah Bliss at 29s for the World Hurdle, 16s the lay on betfair now but the stake doesn't make it worthwhile, will let it ride.

Black Jack Ketchum must be doubtful with all this rain.

Can't wait now, building up nicely. Not had a good a flick at the form as yet, but my first insight into the fetival is that the ground won't be better than good to soft if even. So that includes a lot more of the horses that weren't going to the festival if it was on better ground. I think Celestial Wave is a very good bet for the World Hurdle. Black Jack Ketchum will be saved for Aintree if the ground is soft or worse. Celestial Wave will relish the conditions and her front running style will suit Cheletenham as she can dictate the pace. She doesn't give up easily as she showed in her last race at Gowran Park and at 12/1 is a nice e-w bet. I've it backed.

Also had a very good word on Gemini Lucy in the Arkle. In at 16/1 at some, from 33/1 about two weeks ago. A guy from Newmarket I know won't shut up about him. Maybe worth an e/w punt in what looks an open affair.

That's all so far, seeing Ruby and Nicholls tonight in one of those preview things, might turn up one or two things, but not holding my breath.
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

Is that the one in the Sub? From what I hear it's one of the better ones as far as these things go.

Not the Sub, Cork venue tonight. Prob hitting the rest of the country this week with no racing at all going on. Ground is going to be terrible if this persists.

Celestial Wave is now out of the World Hurdle – would have fancied it big time .

Beef or Salmon at 18/1 on soft ground for the Gold cup is not bad odds – neither is L’Ami at 16/1

It's a pity as she was looking like a great chance on the ground.
