The books actually a very good read, but yeah, don't bother if you're looking for any in depth discussion on the LOI ^^

You sure that was actually Keith Gillespie who played for Longford?. These guys couldn't find him for this documentary.
He'll be refrenced in it anyway, but obviously not getting a prominent mention, because yeknow, he didn't win a crapload of epl titles with united like the other 6 did. He mentions the show in his book anyway so we'll see!

The Bohs books were a great laugh for LOI fans for a few years.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Through The Hoops....Jimmy Cummins.
Anyone got details of this publication.
It's on the Eason site for €10.
'Through The Hoops' is the true story of the Hoops and Irish Goalkeeper, Jimmy Cummins, tracing back his young years growing up at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, through his six successful years with Shamrock Rovers at Milltown and then on to the infamous Government Stockbroker Inquiry, which virtually made him an outcast and an exile from the land and the people he loved.
For the first time, Jimmy releases documentary evidence substantiating his claims of impropriety against the Irish Government Stockbrokers Butler & Briscoe, evidence “disbarred” and buried by the Committee of Inquiry. Here then is the story of a young man who dared to stand against corruption, fraud and abuse of power at the highest levels of Irish financial life, and in the end paid a very high price.
Through the Hoops is available from the publishers too

Hopefully middle of next year.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

New book launching on Friday 13th December, In Rod We Trust: How Athlone Town Won The League
https://www.facebook.com/inrodwetrustatfc
Author is Kevin O'Neill, previously wrote "Who Needs Cantona (We've Got Rod De Khors)"
Larry Be Wyse
www.acsportsimages.com
In Rod We Trust indeed! Should be interesting though, hope it sells well. IMO Who Needs Cantona... is the one of the worst football books ever written. In fairness the author was working with the most threadbare of material.
