I think he means like our stand in Lissywoollen. It was built off site and brought in like a jigsaw to be put together

we went from 0 to 300 seats. we're averaging about 600 a game this season. our best was at home to Waterford a few weeks back just over 1000.

1,000 is quite a good attendance for a First Division club. Well done to ye on that one.

Slightly off-topic, but this shows the sceptics what can actually be achieved, even on a small budget, if a club pulls its finger out and runs a decent marketing campaign.

a lot of this was down to the hard work of volunteers and players who visited schools and handed out free kids tickets after a Q&A session and skills display. These tickets were valid when accompanied by an adult.Worked well on the night. this promotion is planned again. We've all got to try something in these tough times as most of ye well know.

very good presentation. It would appear our future is there or else its pack it in time. All parties are on board, especially the FAI (some rep from there showed a good powerpoint display) but the major problem is Limerick city council coming up with the majority funding. The Stadium would be developed over time with several sports including GAA and a rugby league team using it but Limerick FC would be the anchor tenant. They showed several designs of the stadiums proposed development which would also include a community centre.
Its not a good time to be looking for a couple of Million of the governments money especially if your not a bank!
It will be another couple of weeks before the next phase is presented.

Expecting to complete second stand by September. Maintenance work to be carried out on the pitch by a specialist company to improve it.

LK37OLDSKOOL is there any links to the designs online? What did the proposals look like(Brandywell perhaps).Dont think a brand new satdium is essential.Limerick just need to move in as soon as possible with basic facilities such as lighting and changing rooms put in place.Whouldn't have thought that would be too costly.

The plans we saw were part of the powerpoint demonstration by the FAI on the night and are for staged development. Its proposed to have 2x 3,000 seat stands on each side of the ground, nothing pencilled in for behind the goal areas.
its accepted that a quick move is essential with basic facilities(which would be a massive improvement to where we are now) but City council coughing up several million for the ground is the problem as its owned by Bord na Gon.

Does anyone remember the story about Tolka Park supposed to be bulldozed? It wasn't a year ago i think i heard something along those lines. Weren't Shels to look for a new home?
Sorry if this is a stupid Q, but a friend just mentioned it to me over the weekend and i was wondering if anything ever materialised.
