    town are after signing damien brennan and david freeman from dublin city

    Freeman is the striker Longford have been missing for the past five years, although Matthews probably won't play to his strengths.

    Daisy Brennan is an okay right-back, decent going forward and armed with a prodigious long throw.

    I doubt it'll have anything to do with it - all strikers we sign seem to loose their scoring boots when they get to Rathowen....

    Don't think Freeman is good enough for the Premier tbh, too slow and not very creative. Has height though, that's something anyway...

    I'm not sure you're thinking of the right player...

    Freeman is terrific on the ball, possessed of exemplary technique and regularly performs a remarkable move which involves flicking a first-time weighted pass into the path of the left-winger with the outside of his right foot, whilst facing in the opposite direction. A natural finisher too.

    He's not particularly fast but nor is he particularly tall...
