Cutting Down mp3s

Lads, i need it cut down a few mp3s .... they are about 4-5 minutes long and i need to have them at about 1 min long .... is there any freeware that is good for this?

Try Audacity - not sure of the URL (think it may be a sourceforge website), but Google should help.

To export again as an MP3, you will also have to download the Lame encoder, but again the Audacity website will tell you where to download that.
