Just remembered Liam O'Brien, Trevor Brooking, Terry McDermot, etc. So I suppose the question should be: how many City players won caps during or after their time with the club.
Doyle will start tomorrow night v Sweden. Two questions:
1) Do City get any more money from Reading when he gets capped?
2) How many other City or ex-City players have won full international caps before, during or after their time with the club? Is Doyle the first?

None while at the club. Can't think of any that have left Cork City and go on to win caps

1) €10k for a friendly (another €10k for competitive)Originally Posted by kingcolers

€10,000 for Doyler starting .... its not much but it'll have to do !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Did Brian Carey ever get a full cap? I suppose I could check it myself, but doubtless there's others out there with equally little to do with their time.

I'm stunned lads. No player capped while playing with Cork. I presume you are only talking about since 1984. Limerick have had Al Finucane, Kevin Fitzpatrick and Johnny Walsh capped while playing with Limerick. There must have been Cork lads capped while playing with Cork clubs.

Yeah, I presume there were quite a few. Miah Dennehy springs to mind...Originally Posted by LFC in Exile

Yeah but they're different Limerick clubs to the one now. Same with Cork (and Waterford too)Originally Posted by LFC in Exile

To be honest, that was a time when Limerick were on fire, all guns a blazing. Would be good if any eL club could captivate the public like that again.Originally Posted by LFC in Exile
