I feel sorry for him, but when you are this deep in trouble there is only one way out.

Why Feel sorry for him he ruins clubs when he goes to them Just ask Liverpool fans what they think of him. He picks arguments for no good reason and has falling out with players at every club he is at.

He should never manage again - he's been a failure at every club he's managed. I don't understand why clubs continuily go for managers who have proven to be failures. Better give someone young a chance.

I don't agree with this assessment. I don't think his record shows him as being a failure at every club he has been at. Granted his record at Newcastle and Liverpool (despite winning a trophy there) was poor but he did an excellent job in Scotland with Rangers, In Turkey with Galatasary and in England with Blackburn Rovers and was far from considered a failure in every job he's had.

He'll get hired again becuase despite recent poor showings his record shows he's probably won more silverware as a manager and as a player than all of the other coaches in the league put together bar the top 4 and as we've witnessed first hand with the Irish job, some supporters will be crying out for an experienced coach and hence he'll always be in with a shout for any available job in the Premier League and beyond.

The ONLY reason he did well in Scotland was because Murray gave him unlimited money to buy as much quality as he wanted while the rest of the clubs were in the doldrums and couldn't live with that. A bit like the Abramovich scenario these days.

While Rangers were signing top proven international players, Celtic were having to make do with such greats as Carl Muggleton, Wayne Biggins, Stuart Slater etc.

Souness bought his success in Scotland....

I'm a liverpool fan, and I've a lot of time for Souness. Did very well with Blackburn, and in Scotland as was said. As for him ruining Liverpool, he took over a club that was a shambles, granted his signings weren't great, but the demise was not down to him..

Also, would walk into any Premiership team at the moment as a player in his hey day,.

I can certainly agree that the money would have helped but I can't agree with the assement that it's the only reason he suceeded. Much like with Mourniho, I don't believe the success can be attributed to only the money as there's still a hell of a lot of work to be done on the training field no matter how many stars you have.

There's plenty of examples of clubs with more money than others floundering becuase of poor purchases and inability to unify the team. With the money he had in Scotland, he used it well and was successful. At least that's my view of it anyway

Maybe a slight exageration saying only but you know what I mean. It certainly made it a whole lot easier for him.
