It's ok, a US company, pay is decent and 24 days hol a year is not bad. But hours are not good (officially 8 to 5.30, but more like 8 to 7), I spend the best part of 2hrs on the train each day to get in and out on top of that. Most of the staff in the company are decent, but people outside of the company you have to deal with are real tossers. One company we have to deal with in particular are pure arséholes, even for the financial industry they are abject tossers.

Theyre about to shift everyone around into new teams, if I go into a decent one I might stay in the job for a good while. Otherwise I've been there 6 months, will probably stay another 6 months (anything less than a year can look a bit dodgy on the CV) then start looking elsewhere.

I don't really rate jobs much but i suppose if it didn't like it i would just leave.

After spending 5 year at last company (hated last 2 years as too much work & too little pay) & almost 1 year in current job i feel best not to stay too long in any one place. Money big improvement in current job & ist one step up the ladder so will stay for a while.

I always work too long & would probably be better at job that forced me to leave at 5pm but then again i'd have trouble starting on time too.

Worked for Germans before & now yanks & to simplify germans lazy & yanks work mad.

I would think few people love their job as thats a strong claim.

im happy as a student,as a part time petrol pumper..well people treat me like crap but apart from that its pretty cool...7/10

student also.
work in bar part time pay not great.work can be good at times more often than not its monotonous.6/10

also work supervising 6th and 7th class in a boarding school one night/morning a week.
pay is good and free breakfast. can be stressful at times though when the kids act up.8/10

9/10 in mine, I left school 16 years ago to work in a local fish factory as the money was very good I never thought one computer course 6 years ago that I would be now into my third year at a job like this. I more or less run the office for a building contractor’s (I hadn’t a clue the first day I started). I used to work on the sites for the same company and the boss wanted to give me a chance in the office as the lad here before me was leaving.

Fair play to him as I’ve hopefully not let him down so far, the only office work I did before this was in Donegal for a knitwear firm in my work placement after the course but had to walk out after 7 months due to constant hassle/bullying from the boss (wasn’t the first of his staff who did this, but I did tell him what I thought of him, great shouting match).

So as I say I am happy here must take a half day now and head to the hills

I can't have any real complaints.I should be earning a bit more and the drive to work getson my tits but the management are fine and easy going and time off isn't a problem most times.I also get a lot of nixers done during work hours so that's a huge plus.

I would rate mine 6 out of 10, have been working for one of the biggest IT companies in the world for the past 2 and a half years. The pay is ok, the work is interesting unlike other sections here and the days off is great.But working nights for the last 2 years eventually gets to you and your social life and it fecks up things if you have a gf.On a brighter note Im actually leaving in about 2 and a half months to move to the states. How i get on there is another story altogether.

Well its all about getting experience. Partical experience. Get in somewhere and learn as much as you can. I worked in computer jobs thru my entire college so by the time I left college I had partical experience in hardware and java programming.

I enjoy my job a lot.
Working on different projects for different companies means that you meet a multitude of different people.
Everyday's a school day and as long as I'm learning, I'm happy.
Eight years with the same company and I've been all over the world. That alone has taught me a lot.

Working for a small Irish company gives the job a far more personal edge than you'd get working for a large American corporation.

Of course I believe that I should be paid a lot more but I can't say that I struggle to make ends meet.

Overall, I'd give my job 8/10.

I work part time in a fish factory aswell....Galwaybay seafoods(main supplier to all leading resteraunts in Galway and Mayo...cough cough).I work there caus it's me Uncles and it's extemely easy going.People are great and i love getting out in the vans....only bad side would be the smelll of fish

.Amn't working there at the moment caus of the leavin cert but ill defenitely go back for the summer and part time during college.
