Only 18 caps for a player of his ability ~ Ok, I know that we didn't play so many games back then but 18 caps for a player of Gerry Ryan's ability is very very low all the same, especially when you consider the number of caps players of very limited ability are getting these days.

    RIP to Gerry Ryan.

I've read that it was that their mother didn't like Bobby's wife, and Jack took his mothers side, and made some public statements about Bobby's wife that were a bit unpleasant.

Yeah, that’s more or less it as I recall. I read Jacks autobiography and it was mammy politics.

Never watched an episode of Friends. Frequently channel surfed on to one but never watched a whole episode. Must have been good though to have been so long running. A bit like that current one with egg head students whose name doesn't come to me.

Ditto,American sitcoms just don't do it for me,the reaction therefore way over my head but sad for anybody to go out a such a young age, money and fame wasn't all it was cracked up to be for this guy anyhow.

    Big Bang Theory?

There's clips on YouTube without the laughter track and it's painful. The show seems to be "Here's a science thing" Hahahaha! *Viewer laughs too to show they got the joke, which has to be clever cos, you know, science is clever*

Never got into Friends back in the day either. Am thankful we don't have doctors on commission for prescribing addictive drugs here though (which I think is what happened Perry ultimately).

Interesting career as a player and a manager while always having a bit of a London Wide-Boy about him.

Owned a bar in London called Scribes that was frequented by football journalists. Always felt he got an easy ride from the press.
All goals, yellow and red cards tweeted in real time on mastodon, BlueSky and facebook
