    Star Trek: The Movie

Saw it over the weekend in the flicks. It was good, not a Trekkie type thing which is good but not completely out of this world type film either. Some of the CGI was very well done. Worth a look while its still in the cimema i suppose.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

It's a good, fun action film, with lots of Star Trek in jokes, ridiculous plot device physics. The plot is slightly loose, but fast paced enough that it's not a problem.

I enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm a Star Trek fan (or used to be anyway), and liked it. Some people don't like that they've ignored canon, or played even looser with the science than traditionally, but to those people, I say this: get a life.

The new cast are uniformly good. Everyone got something to do - even Sulu and Chekov, who often spent whole movies repeating orders back to the captain. Uhuru's more than a glorified secretary. Spock's back story is done well, though it's only given so much time.

I'd like to see if they can keep it up with the inevitable sequel. A little more science fiction and a little less space opera might be nice, but I'm willing to take fun ahead of interesting if that's all they're offering.

I liked the bit where Kirk, Zulu and Ensign Ricky had to go on a dangerous mission where one of them was likely to get killed.

Yeah, I don't think there was a single person in the cinema who thought Ricky was coming back.

He was wearing a red space-suit.

BTW, this might be a good time to point out this Robot Chicken clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-BbfW1mXsA

I like to hear that it is a film where you can turn your brain off at the door.I seen The Prestiege recently and my head hurt after it so im looking forward to senseless action sequences
