    Athlone game

I suppose at the end of the day a draw was a good result but we could have done with all three points and nearly got them in the last 5 mins.
Good to see kieran O Reilly score again.....couldnt even start to think of how many goals he would get if he was able to hold onside a bit more with his pace as well, as the midfield had no option only to hold the ball up or pass sideways on a lot of occasions that he was a good bit offside.......thought cliffy did well when he came on and gelled well with Darrragh.... With cliffy being an attacking midfielder and Darragh stopping everything coming thru the centre. Also when Mulconry moved out on to the wing he gave them all sorts of problems...

Good game to watch. Two poor goals given away. Second one, keeper flapped and had no defender to clear the blocked shot.

Felt we were the better team, but lacked conviction up front. Surprised M. OShea wasn't brought on. Needed the pace of a striker not the skill of warren.

Ya, Michael could have worked out also but who do ye take off. You can't say that Kieran is lacking conviction with the amount of goals to date and another Sat even if it was thru the keepers legs.
As for Warren I thought his overall play was very good apart from grabbing a goal and is looking better and fitter by the week. Think its only a matter of time before he clicks into goalscoring mode..Bet Monaghan are hoping he misses the re arranged game in two weeks after his six against them last year.

I could be wrong, but was it Athlone he scored 6 goals against, at home ?

Sure it was Monaghan but open to correction. We won the game 7-1 or something like that

You're right, Monaghan were the team and 8-1 was the final score.

Ya, great result and if he is anywhere near that form against them I would fancy he could get one or two with Kieran O Reilly looking good as well to add to his tally.....maybe Im wrong here but this year seems better then most for scoring options with Michael O Shea , Davin, Conor Meade and Brossy when Ken Keily makes a full comeback, all liable to score in any game also.

    Question

I just want to ask. When are Rams playing Monaghan? Is it the weekend of the FAI Cup 3rd round by any chance? Anyone going to Kilkenny Saturday night?

That means its going to clash with the Cork vs Kerry All Ireland Football Sami Final. They should think again about changeing it to the Saturday.
