    Drogheda in Bernard talks

Reports in the papers over here suggest the Drogs are in talks with ex Oldham and Aberdeen player Paul Bernard.

Injury plagued over the last number of years he was once bought for £1m by Aberdeen. Any truth in this? Don't know how he's been lately, I think he was at St Johnstone the last I heard.

P.S Would have posted this in the Drogheda page but on checking it I see no one actually uses it

Where in the name of Buddha did Aberdeen ever find £1 million quid.... ?!

Let alone be so daft as to spend it on any one single player, when the best they can hope for is a Scottish Cup trophy and a UEFA Cup slot

    Madness....

This is going back at least 6-7 years I'd say when there seemed to be more money flying around. Still, I know what you mean.

He is the only non-Old Firm purchase for £1m or over in Scottish football history. Wasn't worth it either.
