Same fee as Celtic paid for Kenny. Huge loss but they've a bit of money to spend and are in Europe so they're an attractive club to play for

This article says he was looking for something long term. Maybe Sligo don't offer deals longer than two years?
I can see the rationale in not giving a 33 year old a long term deal. The only thing is that Loi clubs can’t match what a lot of L1 or L2 clubs are paying so the only way to entice this players is with a longer contract. Not a chance we are paying Doyle what he could get in the UK but the three year deal clinched it for us. He should be good for at least two of the three years and could get involved with coaching on the last year of the deal.
doyle is better than amond though , can see why they'd baulk at a 3 year deal. that final year is a killer especially if they are on good money.
Finn Harps have signed Dutch/Turkish centre half Erol Erdal Alkan.
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.
Ollie really is casting his net wide. How he is getting foreign based players to sign for the self proclaimed perpetual relegation candidates is a mystery!
There's foreigners in the Icelandic league and the Faroese league and lots of smaller leagues. Footballers won't refuse money!
Yeah, some I guess must use it as a way to see the world while they're young. Best of luck to them. This fella will be in for a surprise when he sees Finn Park after a spot of rain though
Probably on balance not worth the bother - it must be hard trying to work out if these guys are actually any good, and the LoI experience has been spotty at best, even before Dundalk's nonsense last year
There’s a Turkish barber 1 minute outside the door of Finn Park,we’ll get Erol settled in no bother!
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
Aiden Keena to Sligo is an interesting one. Was very highly rated at Pats before he moved away and has had fleeting moments of success since but hasn't seemed to be able to settle anywhere. Wouldn't put it past Bucko to get the best out of him and him proving to be an able leader of the line.
Bohs have signed Ryan Cassidy on loan from Watford. Irish U19 striker who had a fairly nondescript loan spell at Accrington Stanley last year. Always hard to judge signings like that, but sounds like he wouldn't be expected to replace Georgie Kelly in terms of goals scored
Cassidy is well rated at Vicarage Rd. Sean Murray potential though Murray had more gam time with the 1st team in the championship. I am biased as a Watford fan though.
