Yeah i just heard it myself... although im not too bothered as long as rovers survive...
Its just been announced on 98fm in Dublin that the every Shamrock Rovers player has been put up for sale. I didn't hear the full report but at the end he repeated that every player is for sale

They'll more than likely accept any offers too, even low ones I bet.
God
Only problem is, the good players they had are out of contract, so who will want the rest?????
How can Rovers survive if they lose all of their best players and get relegated to Div 1. They will be in serious trouble if they drop out of the Prem Div. I hope it doesn't happen
They'll have to go amateur for a few years and completely restructure. Thing is, if you don't get out of the First Division first time, it can get harder and harder... (just ask Dundalk!)
I disagree. A year of first division wages could be just what they need during their restructuring. At the moment anything is acceptable so long as they stay in business.Originally Posted by Dee75

Agreed, personally if it meant Rovers staying in business and for the good of the League i would let them use the Carlisle if they REALLY needed to........Originally Posted by Bald Student
I don't think they want to anyway. It depends on the contract they signed with Bohs I suppose.Originally Posted by drummerboy

I'm not sure. I mean argueably it's what they should've done years ago. If they hadn't been playing silly money to players for years Tallaght would already be built. If it takes a few years to get the club straight and properly structured then so be it.
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.
ask dundalk !! ask us sligo rovers fans ! missed out on last day of season to bounce straight back on 1st attempt . at least dundalk won the league that year....and this is now our 6th season in this muck division. it's like quick sand down hereOriginally Posted by pineapple stu

Was going to mention youz, but yez are doing so well this year and I didn't want to jinx it!
Doh! Too late!
if we are jinxed now, we'll send a mob after youOriginally Posted by pineapple stu
anyway if shamrock rovers came down to this division they would be ok, they'd be well able to get the ball rolling again and get properly set up. i'd say 2 years here and they'd be sorted. having relegation pressure on ur heads makes people make stupid decisions..usually costly ones. so its no shame to come down, and relaunch a better and strong club.
So will I. I'm looking forward to another trip to Sligo last year (before anyone says it, not after getting relegated!). I could do without more trips to Richmond Park!Originally Posted by garykelly

I'd give it another few weeks before this happens
Felix Healy is sacked as manager of Finn Harps
Roddy Collins is unveiled as new Finn Harps manager
Whats the chances?????
possibly the funniest/stupidest thing I've ever read on this forum.Originally Posted by Dee75

No, but Dolan may be attracted to the Harp Army... with the best fans in the country and all that!
God
Not a chance. We simply couldn't pay him.Originally Posted by EnDai
Anyway, Felix Healy is manager of Finn Harps, and in my book will be there for a long time. At the time he was appointed it was said he'd be a long term appointment: he won us the title last year to take us up and I can't see us not staying up. He's doing a grand job.
Rovers are fcuked!
