Great big pay day for TNS. Shels v Glentoran should be a cracker. Any word on Celtic or is their draw at a later date? Thought they were doing 1st AND 2nd qualifying rounds today?
What all Liverpool fans wanted. Pity Jimmy Aggrey wasn't going back there and we'd have a comedy show aswell as a football game to look at
I'm sure it'll be in the Millenium?

They got the winners of teams from Kazakstan & slovakia.
away first.
Thanks.
I doubt it. Maybe Ninian Park or something.Originally Posted by JoeSemi

Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
Where exactly do TNS hail from?
They moved to Oswestry (sp.), took over Oswestry Town. Formally of Llansantffraid.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Just remembered TNS are the ones who offered to play Pool in a preliminary round as well aren't they?
"I don’t want to tempt fate, but Thierry Henry is not having one of his best nights." - RTE co-commentator Jim Beglin, minutes before TH struck the stunning winner.
If they can beat the reigning champions they'll be dancing in the streets of Total Network Solutions.

Would be absolutely great if TNS would win it, the biggest stunt ever in European football probably. Unlikely to happen, but one can always dream... To quote the Levellers: "Nothing is impossible in my all powerful mind"...
VERY unlikely to happen. We'll have it wrapped up by half-time of the first leg. Have an abacus ready, to count up the rugby score.Originally Posted by Gerrit
There have been bigger stunts in European football, like when Bremen scored 5 in the last half-hour to beat Anderlecht 5-3 in the CL, Shels leading Rangers 3-0, Coruna winning 4-0 against Milan, or when Longford shamed the NL, by losing to Vaduz....twice!!
A Welsh minnow beating the defending champions would be a bigger stunt IMO than winning 5-3 after being 0-3 down. Shels leading 3-0 vs Rangers was not even a stunt, because we eventually lost that game
Vaduz vs Longford seems like one, but... Vaduz is Swiss second division and very likely to be top-flight very soon. So I don't think they're much below an Eircom League side (apart from our top sides Cork, Shels and currently Derry)
Deportivo's 4-0 vs Milan was indeed one of the biggest stunts in UEFA history, certainly after the first leg's 4-1 victory for Milan.
Admit, a Welsh side hardly anyone knows that eliminates the previous winner of the Champions League. It would be a result people still talk about within 50 years.
I hope it happens but I am realistic. If it happens I will walk to Lourdes.
And I have nothing against Liverpool, even find it a very nice club and was glad they won the CL and not the spoiled brats from Milan. But if a minnow plays a giant, I always chose side for the minnow, except if the 'giant' is Rosenborg of course
and total network solutions..
total network solutions fc
are the finest team the world has ever seen!
bizarre story:
shortly after hearing tns had offered to play liverpool in a champions league play-off tie, i was sitting in the pub with a couple of friends, discussing the sham of an offer and the ridiculous name of tns.generally slagging them off.anyway got home and had a shower.was about to sit down to eat my dinner when i got a phone call.. from total network solutions! the telemarketing company had just rang me out of the blue randomly to conduct a survey. what are the chances??
Why the f*** would TNS be a ridiculous name ? They're named after a company from which they grew, just like many companies have a team. Why would TNS be more ridiculous than eg Celtic, Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne, UCD ?? On the contrary, TNS FC is much more original than just naming it after the hometown, and this is actually a name foreigners can pronounce. Imagine the journalists losing their reputation over Llansantffraid FC
