Darlington target offered Rovers deal
Shamrock Rovers defender Jason Gavin – a summer transfer target for Coca-Cola League Two side Darlington – has been offered a two-year deal at the Hoops, manager Roddy Collins has revealed.
Gavin joined Collins’s side on a short-term contract after being released by Bradford City earlier this year.
Neither party made secret the arrangement that the former Middlesbrough man’s stay in Ireland was likely to be a short one, with Gavin anxious to get one more chance to forge a successful career in England, where his partner, who had a baby recently, still lives.
