Post Football Manager 2006 Official Research

(I've posted this in the gaming forum also, sorry for posting again)

    Hi All,

I'm currently working on the new Football Manager 2006 game. I've posted here before looking for help with research on the various Eircom League teams represented in the game, and some people have been great help.

I'm asking again for anyone that's a fan of the Championship Manager/Football Manager series and the Eircom League to help me out to make the game as good as possible for this Octobers' release.

Fans of all teams are welcome, and it's fine if several people work on the same team, the more the better. If anyone is interested in making THEIR team 'perfect' as the should be for the Eircom League in FM06 please contact me as soon as possible at darren_cm@hotmail.com and I'll pass you all the details you need.

Of course anyone the helps out in a substancial way shall receive a free copy of the game.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Darren Matthews.
    SI Irish Head Researcher.

Think I sent you most of the details on DC a few months back, I'll be glad to plug any oustanding lacunae.

    Hi All,

Thanks to everyone who replied to me post, it was very positive. So far this is the list of people from have agreed to help:

    Richard Dunne | St. Pats
    Eamonn | Dundalk
    Joe McAuliffe | Kilkenny City
    Chris | Shelbourne
    Chris McNulty | Finn Harps
    Damien McCaul | Derry City
    Kevin Keay | Derry City
    Donnchadh MacAogain | Dublin City
    Sheridan Elliot | Dublin City
    Keith Ryan | Bray Wanderers
    Edward Freeman | Bohemians
    Éanna Buckley | Cork City
    Éoghan Rice | Shamrock Rovers

That’s 11 individual teams, so half the Eircom League. If everyone does their part well it will be the best researched game ever, thus the best game ever.

Everyone above should now have received an editor and instructions on how to research. I mailed a few who have trouble received the files for various reasons, can yous please contact me so I can make arrangements to get you the files?

SonOfStan are you interested in researching, if so let me know?

And “De Town” are you interested in doing Longford research? I would appreciate some assistance with them

I am still looking for researchers to help with the other teams, and if anyone fancies working on more than one team there will be a free game in it for you as standard.

    Any questions just ask. Cheers.

    Darren.

Be sure to have Micko down as defender/midfielder/striker/left/right/centre.

    Hi All,

I’ve now added a few more researchers to the mix, they are:

    Ciarán Ruane | UCD
    Ross Thompson | Longford Town
    Dylan Connor | Drogheda United

This is in addition to the lads already onboard:

    Richard | St. Pats
    Eamonn | Dundalk
    Joe McAuliffe | Kilkenny City
    Chris | Shelbourne
    Chris McNulty | Finn Harps
    Damien McCaul | Derry City
    Kevin Keay | Derry City
    Donnchadh MacAogain | Dublin City
    Sheridan Elliot | Dublin City
    Keith Ryan | Bray Wanderers
    Edward Freeman | Bohemians
    Éanna Buckley | Cork City
    Éoghan Rice | Shamrock Rovers

Can EVERYONE listen above please confirm they have access to all the necessary files?
Can ALL confirm they know how to use the editor and the team files?

If anyone has any questions at all, please mail me as soon as possible at darren@escenic.com or darren_cm@hotmail.com and I’ll go through them with you.

    Cheers again for the help,

    Darren.

Galway United (few United fans here .... sort it out lads)
Limerick (loads of Limerick fans on here ..... whats the story lads ?? )
Kildare County (few fans on here ..... Ahh lads, cat got yer tongues ?? )
Sligo Rovers (loads of Rovers fans here .... take the finger out lads )
Monaghan United (sent a mail to webmaster@monaghanunited.ie and he'll sort ya out)
Waterford United (i have posted something on their MB for ya)
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
