I fancied Finn Harps to get a result in Cork and while Dundalk should win it won't be easy.
Rovers up in Sligo have been very poor but hopefully like Bohs and Dundalk so far this season we can get the monkey off our backs.
Bohs v Shels in the battle for supremacy on de nort side should be a good match.

All interesting games for different reasons even at this early stage. Pats need to be winning at home to Cork. Waterford and Derry will wan to start showing consistancy of results, hard one to call. Dundalk will want to put things right after Friday night but Harps are a different prospect than last season especially at home, lets hope they have an off day and Dundalk build some GD. Shels have had one of the better starts for a promoted team and Bohs have been a bit hit or miss with results, Will be a feisty affair with a draw written all over it. Sligo are looking in trouble already unless they suddenly throw off the shackles - if they try to contain rather than play Rovers they will be beaten, if they take the game to Shams ye never know but could be a hiding no matter. Its going to be a congested midtable with 3rd to 8th or 9th if Cork build confidence all going to be taking points against eachother.

Anything other than a win v Cork on Friday would represent a disaster of a start to the campaign. It’s amazing to have such an important game so early. I think SOD has to get a settled team and start picking up goals & points to keep morale in the stands up.

Start of a tough March for us,not expecting any points in the next 2 games against the 2 best teams in the league but hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves....

Can see a 2 or 3 nil defeat for us. The games that will define our season will come after that and you could easily see us with only 3 or 4 points after the first series of games.
A lot depending on an unknown entity of a striker and a squad full of injured full backs and no wingers.
I watched Shams v Bohs with over 7,500 in Tallaght. We are being left behind in fairness.

Looking forward to putting $hel$ back in their place tonight! In all seriousness, think the bookies have the odds wrong for this, and it'll be much tighter than they're giving them credit for.

Think the bookies are in Cheltenham mode as the FGS betting for our game was a bit strange aswell. If I was a neutral the 3/1 draw price looks decent.

You could find yourself in seventh place after the weekend with 4 of the teams above you with a game in hand as well.
This is a big match tonight in terms of what is going to be a very tight league,.

They could be 13 behind with half the season gone and still finish 11 points ahead of the 4 teams.

Nonsense to be talking about been so many points ahead/behind after 5 games (4 games for some)

I don't think its nonsense to say the league is going to be incredibly tight and the head to heads between Dublin rivals are important.
Obviously its too early to be looking at things but starts are important, a few games in and pressure starts to come on.

Super goal by Flores the other night btw made it a memorable night for everyone

It'd be nice if there was a stream for Eirsport 1 that was not prohibitively riddled with popups. Thank goodness for the oportunity to bask in the radiance of trackchamp camerawork that is Skorlive.

0-0 HT here at Richmond. Not much to report apart from a Forrester free kick well saved by McNulty. McGlade has the beating of an out of Position Dean Clarke who's playing RB. Ochieng for Cork best player on pitch so far. Doing everything simple but effective. Rennie holding the ball up well but needs to start doing it a bit more to bring the players around him into the game more.
