Far play to Portadown - they went to Cork, 10 days after their season had finished with nothing to play for and got a result, whatever way you look at it that's a massive performance by their lads, very professional. The integrity of the competition cannot be questioned now - can you imagine the crying if Cork had won 2 or 3 nil! Ollie would be up in arms.
My only complaint now is that Shels stand to make a massive killing from this and with the final Tolka there going be odds on to win it out.

How do people think McNulty played, outside of the sending off? The only thing he really had to do was take the ball out of the net once and catch a few crosses, but he was all over the place when the ports hit the bar in the first half.

Id say thank god Devine does not miss too many matches.

You couldnt really tell. He didnt cover himself in glory with the corner that ended up on the bar but didnt have anything else to do.
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

McNulty had almost nothing to do. Was dodgy for 1 corner in 1st half, No keeper in the league would have saved the goal & absolutely nothing else to do all night. If he didn't have some goal kicks would have got cramp. Sending off made no difference as game was already over.

McNulty is good at penalties i think which devine is useless at.

he was off his line for the goal, when hamilton was still pretty far out and had defenders going to ward him.

McNulty has a habit of coming way off his line at every opportunity.
If he had stayed back on Monday, he would have had a great chance of stopping that shot.

In 4 games, we had two perfectly good goals disallowed, and had a "goal" awarded against us which occurred only in the imagination of the linesman.
On top of that we had one of our best players sent off in our first game of the competition, for being viciously hacked down, and our keeper had to miss our most important game for pointing out to the linesman with the hallucinations, that goals are scored by players getting the ball across the line, not by a linesman simply thinking it livens up his dull little life if he gives "goal" for no reason now and again.

If the same thing had happened to $hels in this competition, the organiser's and the officials would be tied up in court now, because the secratery of your club would get every injunction under the sun to stop the final going ahead until he got games replayed.

You can mock and jeer all you want, but if you ever got a run of sh*t officialdom like that and disgraceful decisions such as those going against you, we would NEVER, EVER hear the end of it.
