    Jimmy O'Neill

Right ill prob get banned for this but would someone please give me his address cos i think i need to visit him. Its no wonder the FAI website isnt giving details of refs to ref games anymore as this was our surprise! Limerick were on top against a poor Coch side tonight when he gave Tomas McGauley two yellows in quick succession for back answering. This totally changed the game and his blundrs continued as he gave rubbish decissions all trough the reat of the game. In the second half the 11 of Cobh equalized and shotly after our man Jimmy tried to even things up by awarding Limerick a peno which never was (he was two feet outside and the player played the ball) Luckily we missed it but the fact he was trying to square things up just shows how bad he was. He also bottled it by only giving the last defender who conceaded the peno a yellow card. The cobh player who was sent off later went for an outragous two footed lunge. Jimmy had a 12 man security escort off. Why do they put fools like this in charge of traditional heated games. Right whos got his address?

Right .... can you record exactly how you feel there please !!

You are not the first and certainly not the last (while he is still reffing) to feel like this.

I really dont know at time how people can defend these guys, its as if the guy loses control of the game ..... i dont know how many times i have witnessed it and there never seems to be an improvement. I know ONeill isn't the only one but why does he always seem to figure in these conversations .... never ever in any good ones, is it still fans giving out and nothing to do with him ..... i am sorry but i have to agree.

The guy (at times) should not be left ref games ... in all fairness.

He was a disgrace tonight. At one point he booked Robbie Kelliher for absolutely nothing! Robbie was trying to break away from a Galway player and was pulled back. Our friend Jimmy decides to award the free to Galway . When the ref whistled for the free Robbie obviously thought it was his free and went to take a quick free kick. And Jimmy books him for it! The Galway winger on our side just looked at us and shook his head in dismay. That said it all really. What a completely useless f**king plonker....He is the kind of ref that deserves a belt in the jaw from someone, if only to wake him up to the fact that he is not a referee and knows f**k all about football.

O'Neill is a pity ... simple as .... i'm sorry like, it might seem if i am badgering him here but the guy is just not up to it, on repeated occasions. Surely he must realise it himself !!

I remember O'Neill's ability to go gung-ho without any real need to, but I think Damien Hancock is actually worse. Abs nightmare.

On a positive note, I think Alan Kelly is very good.

The one positive thing you can say about jimmy is that he's not biased. he's so utterly clueless and incompetent that he couldn't be biased if he tried

I think some people would disagree with you there over a certain match a few years ago

I would too, Kelly is useless. The worst of the lot is McKeown though.

If we are talking about the worst I would point to Buttimer (is he still reffin? he should'nt be allowed to anyway ).

But Hancock, O'Neill and 1 or 2 others who have slipped my mind are unbelievably bad.

If it helps, the English FA have Uriah Rennie employed who is also pretty disgracefull.

jimmy o' neill will never be forgotten by drogheda fans after he refused to allow the physio on to treat an injured player about three years ago in longford, but gene mckenna(physio at the time) came onto the pitch anyway, just as well for mark dempsey who had broken ribs one of which had punctured his lung, he also sent off two drogs players in that game. on a plus note the northern ref we had vs shels friday night did a pretty good job

I dont know if its the caliber of ref for the first division or if its a bias against us but the refs for our games were just complete jokes but the monaghan game was a disgrace, cause of the ref we lost that game.
