So... allowing for this thread driving me out of my viking mind, the consensus is .... Kelleher could be the best by a whisker?
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

of course keepers must be a good old bully, grow a beard, dont wash before matches, dont clean your teeth, use rooten football gear, thats the way to do it, ask Chilavert who also had the foot of a fairy on his left peg for free kicks , but would bite your head off

the thing with this fellow is that he looks like the Brendan Gleeson kid, that is not very menacing at all, if he looks like father Brendan thats a goalkeeper then

hey I rate this Kelleher chap, and I actually had a classmate descendent of irish at secondary school with that Kelleher surname down west side greater buenos aires, so I am familiar with the name, I say old school in football is important, experience in football is important keepers must be nasty like that welsh Everton keeper and Seaman and others, even Schemeichel was a patagonian dogo!!!. Check this about experience and about respect experience , Conte has left out Romero, Doherty and Lo Celso and the team is playing muck.

Such admirable knowledge of the acting Gleeson clan for one from so far away.

what i find admirable is that most of your irish worldwide known actors had a huge crush and lifelong romance with this game, the beutiful game!!! , this gleeson family, the liam neeson, gabriel byrne, matthew broderick, colin farrell who usually comes down here, the guy from star trek and the van they all wanted to be football players , and many more, dont know about pierce brosnam though....and the cillian murphy fellow doesnt strike as someone who plays football he is a bookish, dont know about peter otoole but richard harris was a rugby man who did a movie about a footballer !!!

we dont have that in Argentina from our so called "serious actors" only from our comedians

Starts today against Shrewsbury. Not expecting a busy day for him, but it does mean that he's not absent through covid and should be in line to play Arsenal in midweek

Shay Given and John Hartson both of the opinion he should be knocking Klopps door down for a loan move. Strong defensive lineup from Liverpool but very inexperienced elsewhere so he might end up a bit busier than expected.

Not much he could do about the goal. Maybe a tiny bit flat footed if being hyper critical? But it was a good cross and finish. Cross came in too easily and it was the second time in a few minutes the same player was allowed to put in a great ball so full back maybe most at fault.

Bradley and Konate on the right side of the Liverpool defence look very vulnerable. Immediately after Bradley has the assist for the Liverpool equaliser Shrewsbury get another cross in from that side and it’s ruled out for a tight offside call. Wasn’t a lot Kelleher could have done again in fairness.

Unconvincing punch from a long throw and almost gets caught out with it coming back in, recovers quickly to make the save. Hasn’t really had a shot to save but Liverpool look very shaky defending crosses.

I don't know about the forum politics, but I can see Biesla's point. Don't get me wrong, he looks like a great prospect and it's brilliant to have an Irish player at a top club (like the old days) but it looks to me like Kelleher could do with being more aggressive/assertive. He could also tone down the acrobatics a bit and keep it simple. The level he is playing at, it's OK to subject him to criticism, especially if you want him to succeed in the long term, especially for Ireland.

Kelleher appears to have a beard on the go so he’s playing all the time from now on!
