He's just not right at all, Kenny was saying at the start of the season his fitness levels were way below the rest of the squad but even now you can see there's something wrong with him.
What's going on with Derry btw? A month ago in Richmond they played us off the park even before the sending off and they looked like genuine title contenders but they've fallen way off since, just missing a goal scorer or is it something else?
Here on a technicality.
Yeah and it's just so obvious the squad isnt made for that system.
He only has 3 CB, CKelly is a LB who can cover but he was signed to be 2 LB and 4CB. He has only 2 first team strikers.
And then there are many MF's who arent just getting game time because there are only 3 available spots, plus Miele and DClarke who should be wing players are disregarded because can't fit the system.
Fair enough i don't see you often enough to judge things on anything other than a points basis which isnt to bad to be fair.
In fairness to bucko he seems to have turned things around in Sligo
In the same time period as Kenny (half a season) you could argue he has made a lot more progress in the second round of fixtures.
To be fair, it woudnt have been hard based on the last few seasons. But things are definitely moving in the right direction and people are starting to enjoy going to matches in the Showgies again, which is a big deal. A couple of decent signings mid season would help a lot.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
But the Cork peons would be “ok” if John Caulfield and 90% of the Cork supporters agreed with them ?
Or does that just work with Dundalk ?
There was no real complaints about Monday’s result (a deserved Dundalk win) but every Dundalk fan is still moaning !
The only performance marks I saw (Irish Sun I think) gave Regba 2/10 but the ref only got 5/10, so he was hardly great (unless media are anti Dundalk 😁
Hardly moaning about a late and important win. The cynical time wasting throughout the match and the aggressive fouling is certainly an area of fair comment.
The ref deciding not to give Reghba a second yellow on two occasions was bizarre. 5/10 was too generous for him.
I'd dare say the first game in Richmond was more a case of everything falling into place than anything else.
We badly need a striker. We'll create any amount of chances per game, but our scoring record just isn't good enough. We could be comfortably in third position if we had that part of our game sorted.
We're due to lose Parkhouse and Junior come the end of next month, so it's bound to be our top priority in the summer transfer window.
I'd say we need to strengthen the defence too. We concede in most games, often from defenders being switched off or out of position, and when you've only scored seven in your last eight games, that's going to cost you.
Definitely agree with this. As a club and a fan base we've always been very patient. Even the disaster that was Jeff K&@na didn't really get any abuse from supporters. The frustration this year ( and it is confined to online, there's been no abuse of the manager at games that I've heard) is because we looked to have signed really welll pre season, especially getting Chris Forrestor back. Whether it's the managers fault or not we have not played well, even in games we've won. We have the joint lowest amount of goals in the league, which is shocking really. Big improvement needed. The Forrestor thing is just a mystery. Apart from one moment of magic against Sligo he's been pretty much anonymous, which is a real shame when we all know how good he can be.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
Dundalk complaining about time wasting and aggressive fouling ? at least you kept your sense of humour
95th minute match winning penalty,1 red and 7 yellow cards (versus 1 home yellow) among the highest amount of 'injury time' played this season.Yes, the ref sure let Dundalk down
Yet when anyone comments on Dundalk diving, fouling etc its 'whinging' if the ref at Dalymount had any 'bottle' Dundlak would have finished with about 7/8 players, and the opening goal would not have stood (deliberate handball in build up) but hey, maybe there is a conspiracy against Dundalk, half way through the season and ONLY 10 penalties
Kelly is a CB who can cover at LB. Played 28 games at CB and 3 at LB for Drogheda last season.
