Looking forward to our game tomorrow, I don't for one minute think this is a forgone conclusion but I'd be very disappointed if we don't progress. Those boys played some decent stuff in the first half last week, Dundalk need to get the first goal.
In recent seasons, Estonian teams have been performing poorly in Europe. Their league took a month sabbatical before the WC and hadn't resumed by the time european competition commenced. Their league leaders got well beaten by Stjarnan. Imo, Levadia looked just as poor. I suspect Dundalk were just too circumspect in the first half, sucked into the cautious mindset of the away first leg, once they realised Levadia weren't a whole pile, they pushed up in the 2nd half. Unfortunately they only scored one which gives Levadia some hope.

The amount of space the midfielder has is quite incredible.

Edit - embedding not working. Anyone know how to do it?
Are you embedding the gif as an image or as a video?

This is an embedded image, should work.

Caulfield got the tactics spot on last week, but we left it behind us not being clinical. Also that penalty! That was our chance.
4 goals say you and Caulfield were wrong, eh

Eh, no? I said he got the tactics right last week. We conceded one goal to a wonder strike and created multiple chances which unfortunately we weren't clinical enough to finish.

Despite reservations beforehand, pretty much everyone at the game thought he got the tactics right last week, including media. Last night, not so much.

This may have been asked already so apologise if it has but can Cork get Legia again in the EL if Legia lose their next CL game or is there a rule stating you can't play the same opposition until a certain stage?
    Here on a technicality.

There does not seem to be any rule, but they normally split the teams into pots so id imagine it would be easy for them to split them up to avoid a repeat pairing.

It looks like there'll be 10 seeded and 10 unseeded so they might just do an open draw.

The draw is Monday though, so the seeded teams will still be in pairs. Will be quite awkward to avoid all possible match ups. For us, if they fix it so we can't get Legia, they equally have to take care that the team that lost to Legias opponents don't get them either. It's fairly complicated.

Yeah the 10 losers in the CL are automatically seeded regardless of coefficient and given the draw is done in advance I would think the possibility of drawing the team that knocked you out in a previous round very likely, hopefully won't happen to ye as it would be the height of bad luck but would be interesting to see your approach to the game if it happened again, surely Sadlier would feature more prominently.

I think even if we drew that tie, it's very unlikely Legia would lose it tbh. I don't imagine it being an issue.

If it did happen, it'd be even a worse draw than the first time! We caught them on the hop a bit in Turners Cross, that wouldn't happen again. They'll have more game behind them world cup players back, new striker bedded in. We'd be fairly screwed I'd imagine. And we wouldn't even get a decent new trip somewhere out of it! Definitely the worst case scenario.

For leagues that take a summer break the extra week of pre-season raining can bring on the continental team quite a bit. It was v noticeable last year when Cork played Genk last year how they were quite a bit sharper in the 2nd leg and Cork couldn't break them down.

I hope Rovers go either two up front Greene and Car or 5 across the back with Kavanagh and Boyle bombing on when possible.
We are up against it and they looked good when they committed men forward so I think we will need to score twice to go through....

Early start for the LoI today!

Derry 1-0 up in Minsk after 7 minutes. 2-1 down on aggregate now. Presumably a false dawn, but you never know! Minsk aren't great, as Pat's showed a couple of years back.

Derry get an away goal in Minsk after about 7 minutes - Ally Roy the scorer.

Strong start, Derry playing well going by the radio commentary. Roy had another shot beaten away by the keeper.
