This is what it says on Aertel

    EIRCOM LEAGUE CLUBS WIN LICENCES
Ten of the 22 eircom League clubs have
    confirmed that they have recieved
Premier Licences for the 2005 season.

    Shelbourne, Cork City, Drogheda United,
Bray, Derry City, St Patrick's, Galway,
Athlone Town, Waterford Utd and Finn
Harps have all confirmed that they have
    been successful in their bids.

The licences were granted on appeal
following the initial rejection of all
    22 Clubs' applications in January.

    However, there are rumours circulating
    that several clubs, including one
Premier League outfit are struggling to
    win their appeals.
Limerick 37, its so shiny and new we dare not take the cover off.

Limerick FC have recieved their First Division License for the upcoming season according to aertel the clubs who got licenses are as follows:

Clubs Awarded Premier Licences: Bohemians, Bray Wanderers, Cork City, Derry City, Drogheda United, Finn Harps, Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne, St Patrick's Athletic, UCD and Waterford United.

Clubs Awarded First Division Licences: Athlone Town, Cobh Ramblers, Galway United, Kilkenny City, Limerick, Monaghan United and Sligo Rovers.

Congrats where it's due. This is a big step up from last season. Longford could be in trouble though. Ditto for Dublin City.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Nice one on the license to everyone concerned. One step closer to pulling back the three steps lost with the Can't Pass signing

I seem to remember the Three Stooges saying pretty much the same thing when he signed last year, and that all went Marco Boogers on them didn't it? But we will see I suppose!

Just like last season is it? Oh he banged in the goals then alright. The only people calling him God are you, his old lady and the boy himself.

The fact is that based on last seasons performances Can't Pass O'Brien was not a good signing. He has everything to prove. I hope he proves us all wrong and scores 25 or 30 goals but I'll be very surprised if he does (albeit pleasantly surprised). His work ethic and teamwork were both shocking last year, I've never questioned his ability at all, just his motivation.

Great news about the licence. It calls for a bit of optimism.
I hope you're right about CP willie john. The God and kissing ass bit might be a bit much. The goals will do.
If you don't like John 3:7...

Congratulations to the new consortium and they deserve it. It is nice to see that the club is being managed incredibly well in comparison to the previous management and it is such great news to learn here in Barcelona.
