Draw a reasonable result in Ferrycarrig today although the Wexford League will be disappointed that they weren't more or less out of sight by half-time and instead had to depend on a late equaliser by Aaron Kehoe of Rosslare Rangers to get a share of the points. First half was all Wexford and only some poor finishing by the home side meant that the score was 0-0 at half-time. However, the AUL upped the pace considerably in the second period as Wexford never came back out of the dressingrooms. The AUL went ahead on 78 minutes when Wexford gave the ball away and an AUL break allowed one of their forwards to knock it past Lee Walker in Wexford's goal for 1-0. Wexford then got their equaliser on 86 minutes when a free was knocked to the far post, headed back where Aaron Kehoe was able to bundle the ball home for 1-1. AUL looked more likely to score the winner in the final minutes as they hit the outside of the post with a header and then Lee Walker did well to touch a scorching volley over his own bar to keep the final score at 1-1. Best for Wexford were the evergreen Anto Russell, who got my man of the match, Sean Culleton in midfield and Eoin Rhodes up front, while Lee Walker had an excellent second half between the posts for the home league.
