Southampton have reportedly appointed Harry Redknapp as their new manager, despite his claims two weeks ago that he would not be moving to St Mary's.
Reports in the British media today said Redknapp would be unveiled as the new manager at a press conference this afternoon.

He will replace head coach Steve Wigley, who has led the side to just one victory in his 14 games in charge.

Redknapp left Portsmouth two weeks ago and, at the time, promised fans that he would not be taking charge of their rivals, Southampton.

If he is confirmed as the new Saints manager today, the move is likely to spark controversy as he had claimed he needed a break from the game when he left Pompey
