    2013 Squad

Wexford Youths twitter has indicated that Patsy Malone will not be staying on for the 2013 season while Deano Broaders has reportedly signed for Athlone.

The loss of Patsy would leave Tom Elmes as the only remaining link to the first team put out by the Youths in 2007. Would be a good signing for another first division club.

    Good luck to them both.

Don't think the Broaders story is true. I can't imagine Malone signing for anyone else but I could be wrong. I reckon he'll stick to junior football.

is anyone signed up yet? I think most of last years squad were in for fitness tests before Christmas

First outdoor training session for the Youths today. Seemed to be sixteen playing plus two in the dug-out. Excluding Danny and Patsy, the guts of last year's squad seemed to be there. I spotted Graham, Deano, Caolan, Corkey, Glenn, CJ, Shane and Brian Nolan, Clarkey, Tom, Jimmy and Crokey. Think Eric was there also. Missing were Rocks, Jamie and Joey.

Hopefully the missing three are found! We'll need Rocks and Joey to step up and replace Furlong. Jamie Carr would be hard to replace if he isn't resigned too

You've as much hope of obtaining that information as you have of walking on the surface of the sun unfortunately.

Strong squad, with a bit of luck we could easily manage top 3 this year.

Did Aiden Keenan play more in midfield or up front last season?

Yeah on the wing with Mulcahy on the opposite side when he signed in the summer. Both would push forward to support Furlong, which worked well

Very versatile player. Has played attacking and defensive midfield with Evergreen and sometimes up front. Played mostly up front with Lions and scored something like 33 in 20. Very strong for a guy his build

Yeah apparently then will be training and playing a game against St. Mirren as well. I think it great preparation and great to see such a professional approach
