    greatest ever irish songs

just home from another hard night playin tunes to drunk and had a great night for once. Played a lot of irish stuff....

so with that in ming i'm wondering what are people 5 fav songs from an irish artist ( in no order), its a bit late for me to think of them now....but i will post my choices tomorrow...

ah i'll put in two to get the ball rolling,

1.the golden horde-friends in time...great tune, played it tonight and it got some reaction

    2. Luke Kelly- scorne not his simplicity ( think thats what its called )..haunting song showing music at its most simple

    3. Christy moore - black is the colour...same as luke kelly, simple and beautiful

    4. The Stunning-brewing up a storm...the sound of my youth and memoried of Féile in Thurles

    5. the Undertones-teenage kicks...an anthem event today

so there are my five, all shapes and sizes in there.....knockinh on the door also were,

    an emotional fish - celebrate

U2 - far away so close

paddy reilly - fields of athenry ( best version of the real national anthem )

    your thoughts please.....
