Cracking game of football in Richmond. All in all a draw was probably a fair result.

Interesting if not spectacular game at Dalymount with final result probobly about right. Both managers will surely have food for thought before the "main event" on Friday night, Nutsey in that Bohs could have thrown away a very comfortable two goal lead and Fozzie in that until their goal Dundalk looked disinterested to the point of been comatose.
Fully expect a much different game on Friday with much higher tempo. While Downes was excellent up front for Bohs, playing up front on his own left him isolated at times and lacking support (in my opinion this prevented Bohs wrapping the game up long before the 92nd minute)
For Dundalk there must be concern at the lack of urgency from an albeit weakened team. I would suggest any repeat on Friday would not go down well with the home fans
Looking forward to Friday already
PS cap doffed to Dundalk fans that not alone respected the minutes applause (fora Bohs fan that tragically passed away) but joined in the applause.
Our league interest is over so i'd say the players were focusing on friday. Weather forecast not good so get the rain gear out (no umbrellas lol)! Ive never seen Dundalk support not respect a minutes silence home or away, including in United Park.
PS. We seem to have rid ourselves of the one group of supporters that disgraced us particularily in Terryland a season or two ago - one method in conjunction with bans was to contact the minibus hire companies to request them not to deal with these idiots and it worked (even Newry based companies have black listed them).
..... last time we tried "silence" and some vermin saw fit to disrespect it Personally, I think a minutes applause is a better option as it only takes one or two cretins........
I presume it is a matter for the club as to which form unless the family of the deceased specifically express a preference (which I have never heard of happening).
On the game, while I agree that both teams would prefer a result on Friday to last night I never "get" how teams can turn it on/off as fans often suggest (unless it is Shels of course ). While I expect a different (more difficult) game on Friday it will be more down to bigger crowd/ better atmosphere, different teams etc rather than any perceived indifference by players
Well it is harder to disrupt applause so a 'safer' option. Think it started after George Best died and the match was between Man C and Utd - in case a silence was disrupted and the subsequent possibility of crowd trouble a minutes applause was held.
Applause has been the done thing in Italy for years.
It's harder to disrupt, but why silence a few weeks ago and now applause. As we all know everyone associated with Rovers whether they were at the game or not a few weeks ago disrupted the silence, but since this was an upstanding, cap doffing, love-in for Bohs and Dundalk, obviously silence would've been suitable and perfectly upheld last night too. But not chosen - tis a genuine question. Rovers have moved between applause and silence too.

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
dfx-, with baiting comments like that, do ya not wonder why most of the arguments/fights on here involve your good selves?
