Tierney is signed up for next season and if anything he would sign for a better LOI club as he has been our best player all season and could play at a higher level than the first division if you ask me. Lyons could possibly sign for the boro. Don't see why Bobby Ryan would sign for a junior club in Limerick. He lives in Dublin with his family so it seems like a lot of hassle to be driving down to play junior soccer on a Sunday morning. So to answer your question i doubt they have signed with the Boro and Pike.

yeah i have heard all these rumours myself. I cannot see it happening to be honest. it just doesn't make sense for bobby, john or clarkey to leave. I could see yellow going to boro but thats it. Hopefully there is nothing in these rumours cause we need to build on this season and learn from our mistakes.

Tierney is not one of the lads that has a contract for next year but i really doubt he would go back to junior.

As for Yellow and Bobby no big loss so if they want to go let them. Wont be going anywhere for another 5 weeks anyway.

My mistake, thought he had. Would like to see him signed up before the season is out like the other players that have signed up already.

Ya i was surprised he wasn't when the rest did.

I think Yellow and Bobby will be let go anyway so they are free to do what they want.

Yellow is a good player but not getting the game time so i can see why he might want to go back to Junior. He is still very young so plenty of time for him to come back in the future if he wanted. I think Bobby would be as well off signing for a Junior or Senior league team in Dublin if he is not going to be playing LOI. Nothing really to make him want ot travel down from Dublin.

There is a few players who Limerick clearly need to hold onto. I think the players that will stay will set up a nice spine of the team that can be added to next season.

Once again unless Pike are paying them big big money i see no reason for either of these players to travel down to Limerick to play junior soccer when they can do that in Dublin.

I also don't think Pike need them. They looked strong enough to win the FAI Junior Cup as it is.

Definates that should be kept are

    Paddy.
    Da Ryan
    Yellow
    Judge
    tierney
    tracey
    Clarke
    O' Flynn
    O leary
    B. Ryan
Rogers if we can afford those 2 still

    Out
    White
Kelly(neither Played well in My opinion in the games I have seen)

    In ..
    Mullins Pike centre Back
    E. O' donovan left Back Pike
Brian Cleary Pike centre Back Left Back
    Conor Kavanagh C/mid

From the matches i have seen locally they would be the 3 best players and suited to Limericks needs.

Cant see why we would keep them 2 they have done nothing all year.

And i wouldn't be signing anyone from junior if we are serious about wanting to go up.

I think bringing Brian Cleary back in would be a good move alright for the club. A very solid left back for us 2 years ago who played almost every in all games during the season. I don't think Pikes young o donovan is up to it yet but maybe a couple of season playing junior ball with will stand to him!
Conor Kavanagh looks very good since he came back and is above junior standard.
Agree with not resigning Kelly. Never saw him play well for the club.

It will be interesting to see what scully brings in over the off season. A few new big signings could be the little bit we were missing in the business end of the season.

Sure none of the players would be able to sign with a Junior club until January? By then Limerick will be back pre-season training so why would any of them want to sign with a Junior Club with the intention of signing back with Limerick for next season?

Ya that would be understandable. As L37Ultra says they would rule themselves out of pre-season which would be no good for Limerick and i don't think any junior club would want them for a couple of weeks if they are to re-sign with Limerick for the start of the LOI season. I'm sure Scully has already started talking to the players he wants to keep on anyway so whoever Limerick are not keeping on can sign junior if they want.

if a player is contracted to limerick they cannot sign for any club....if they are not contracted it is their own choice.

Ya exactly so i think if Scully did say it it is because if any out of contract players sign junior they are basically ruling themselves out for next season as they won't be available for pre-season, makes sense to me.
