    Real-life TV products

Was in Debenham's yesterday and a Monty Python box caught my eye - "Mr Creosote's Wafer Thin Mints"; perfect for when you couldn't eat another thing. Had to buy a box, of course. I know you can buy six packs of Duff Beer as well (I've heard they're not great?)

Anything else people have seen moving from the TV screen onto real life shelves?

There were Willy Wonka bars out a few years ago, there may well still be. I never tried one but I wouldn't be too confident about the quality.

Remember them alright. The real Wonka bar was just solid chocolate; didn't try the other ones. Think you could win a golden ticket too and get a tour of a chocolate factory.

One of my lecturers in university made a big deal of the fact that as a result of Tim Nice-but-Dim from the Harry Enfied show going into shops asking for 'Fly Fishing by J.P. Hartley', a book was later published with the same name and author.

EDIT: It's actually JR Hartley, and the history goes back a bit further than the Harry Enfield show.

Well, "Toy Story" replica toys are huge this Christmas on the back of the release of Toy Story 3.

Certainly in the first movie, Buzz Lightyear was a "must have" toy for young kids.

Oi - that's cheating! No fecking Pokemon either. Although I'm not sure if the Mattel Mars Bar Hour toys would count, cos they went from screen to satirical cartoon reality, and could still make an appearance in real reality.
