Cheers lad
any games today lads, surely a blanket call off.
Johnville 1 - 5 Bohs
Hibs 1 - 0 St Saviours
W. Crystal 2 -2 Carrick( not sure was this full time result )
In fairness it was a poor decision by the linesman - they just can't help themselves sometimes. The match itself was ruined by the wind which seemed to get stronger in the 2nd half to Crystal's advantage. That said I thought a fairly average Crystal side (their young striker did well - missed Quilty though) held their own against Carrick who don't look great without their missing players. Will Thomas Fitz play again this season - Wayne came on for last few minutes and Alan Ryan unused sub so those 2 you'd imagine are fit enough. I'd reckon they need to improve tho if they want to win the big ones this year.
Thomas Fitz probably wont play agin this year due to a serouis knee injury, Wayne Fitz and Glenn Keane made their combacks from injury yesterday and jj Butler return after a little hiatus, its looking positive on a squad front, the game was decent yesterday for the conditions that were there, carrick really could have it won handy if it wasnt for a combiniation of poor finishing and good goalkeeping, the penalty was a joke of a decision the Crystal player actually admitted that Adrian Walsh never touched him, the linesman seemed to be new to the league and was very vocal towards players and managers alike

The ref could only over rule him if he was sure it wasn't a penalty, Jimmy McGrath obviously thought it wasn't it was a penalty but if the linesman is firm in his belief it puts the ref in a bad predicament, ref's decisions aside carrick should have won the game anyway, twas their first game in a long while and it was a great way to blow the cobwebs off to get ready for sunday coming!
The 3 premier games meant to be on Sunday are postponed - due to lack of officials to do the games.
As far as Im aware CUFC is that some Refs are attending a seminar in Dublin on Sunday and then 3 are involved in a game at the RSC Sunday. Apparently not enough grade 1 offficials then left to do any of the premier games fixed for sun morn . U would think though that the refs and theb league would have known about this seminar before Tuesday when clubs were notified the games were off- bit Irish if u asked me.They surely got more notice about a seminar than a few days. Also questions the debate for the need for the 3 officials. Yes its great to have linesmaen at premier games as it (probably)improves standard , but if teams cant get a fixture when u dont have enough officials, seems ridiculous !! and this doesnt even go into the extra expense.
thats poor form in fairness, why 3 junior officals have being pulled to ref a munster senior cup game in the rsc is beyond me! the vast majority of premier games could be done with 1 offical this dated back to 2 seasons ago when a ref was accosted at half time in the Waterford Crystal Carrick match by a Crystal offical and called off the game there and then
Met Howard Webb at Manchester airport last night heading for Dublin -was actually going over to the Ref seminar to do a talk - as a United fan Im sure Howard can only improve the lads -haha !!
Premier Result
Villa 1 - 2 Bohs
cheers lads
Another lino mistake cost Waterford yesterday by all accounts. Man City just bid 3000000 billion for Howard Webb, but United said he is going no where !!!
Nice one eagle
