FAI Article
The FAI has published a ‘Grow your Club’ guide designed to help Airtricity League clubs market themselves to their communities. Touching on a wide range of issues, such as marketing, community work, communications and customer service, the Grow Your Club guide is a ‘how to’ guide for Airtricity League clubs looking to expand their off-field operations.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Good enough document, bit late though. Why couldn't they have published this back in 2007.
Epic fail, FAI were founded in 1921. Lol.
Read through about a quarter and it seems reasonable enough but really just a mission statement without the muscle to back it up. Too much too late?
If this publication is in any way useful in helping clubs to promote and grow then great! Sure it would be better if it was produced last month / last year etc etc, but it is here now. The FAI deserve lots of criticism that comes their way, but there is a prejudice with some that everything they do is wrong - when clearly this is not the case.
Obviously a lot of work has gone into this document - it would be more helpful to comment on the document rather then the timing.
Just reading through it now. A lot of it is common sense but if clubs followed some of the suggestions we'd all be in a better situation. It's a good read
Some posts in this thread deal with the FAI guide, starting from post #23.
Very positive move from the FAI, even if it is a tad late
