gary rogers, stuey byrne, damien lynch, andy haran,
ryan guy and jason gavin still on the books for time being
i think thats it
we havent got any strikers there bar haran, depends on who we bring in.
its still only early yet, PM isnt finished with transfers anyway.
but i do think sligo will struggle next year, especially if cook goes to bohs, and because cretaro is gone.
he was the best player in the league last year (well him and twigg)
i like PM as a manager he shows passion, we were beating rovers 1-0 at the end of the season and he was still on the sideline giving socks and giving instruction, and was going mad at times, which i like to see, strange to see when were winning, something we didnt get under kenna, ya couldnt hear him at all

I think the problem with Jeff Kenna was that he didn't have the confidence at Pats. He rescued Galway and then made what was supposed to be a big move, but despite having the playing squad he tried too hard to play football when getting stuck in was called for, at least that's what I saw on a couple of occasions. Apparently he was being lined up, in an either or case, with Dave Rogers to go as Roddy's assistant to Malta. But I couldn't see that working at all!
nah it wasnt confidence at pats, he signed crap players. no moativation to players getting stuffed 3-0 at galway on first game. but the thing is, he managed to get results in europe against the maltese and russians.
he picked an assistant manager who didnt know the league, and he left for personal reasons (yeah like going for a job interview )
he used to fly home every week to birmingham, thats not ideal for a manager and his assistant. he has a job with birmingham so i wouldnt reckon he would have gone to malta
