Daily Star sunday predicts City to be champions....

There's a nice two page spread in todays star on the new season. They have a little piece about each of the clubs and a big article looking ahead to the season. They also give predictions and predict us to finish as champions. The main article also concentrates on City and there are some very interesting and positive quotes from Dolan.

I don't think we'll win the league this season (although we will be very close) but it's nice to see that the national press are taking us seriously.

On Shels message board they completly write us off. They reckon Pats and Rovers will be better than us.

Reckon we've only bought strikers and the rest of our team in only very ordinary. The arrogance of them is incredible......worth reading.

I reckon they're in for a shock when they come down here next month.

Eslewhere on their board there are post about the state of their own club and the complete disarray it seems to be in.........quite hypocritic if you ask me.

    Exclamation ...........................................

I hope we dont win ....

    We wont win .....

We should all stop saying that we are going to win ....

And when it looks like we wont win, will those who said we will win still be going to the cross.

Not one game has been played yet and we have to listen to this already ...

    Give it a rest !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

the team needs more time to learn to play as a unit, john had only a handful of games last season,he'll have to learn to play and connect with fenn.we have great tallent in midfield, skill and touches-georgie,kearney and doyle but we still dont have a rock in there to comand the team.colin t is as close as we have to that if greg goes.

never listen to predictions pre-season,who wouldve put money on waaaaaarford to do what they did?

Its nice to know people are taking us seriously. When was the last time we were tipped to win the league?! Hope it doesn't put too much pressure on or anything, but I do think we have a good crack at it- just lets not be too disappointed if we fall just short though!
