When is the Squad Announcement?

It was expected today according to an Irish Times article earlier in the week, but no mention of it on any Sports News flashes today on Radio Eireann so far??

Why so early? Will Steven Reid make the cut? Andy Reid hasn't got a chance but I hope Steven makes it.

With Gibson, Rowlands, Noel Hunt all out injured and also Liam Miller not being good enough the time has come for Trappatoni to give in and to call up both Steven and Andy Reid.

I reckon Steven will be named in the squad but playing a part could be doubtful...

I'm pretty sure England don't name squads two weeks in advance. A lot can happen in 2 weeks. TBH I've always thought the Trap squad announcements have been a little premature but it's worked so far so no complaints from me!

What does it matter when he makes it public? If he held off for another week he'd still have the names chosen for himself anyway, this way it justs lets players involved to prepare for it a little earlier.

The squad will be meeting up on sunday/monday week, how is tomorrow premature?

I'm not sure what we stand to gain from naming the squad so early, especially with the Steven Reid's fitness still an enormous question mark. Has Finnan done enough to get into the squad? I can't wait to find out.

The only thing I wonder about this squad is if Finnan will be called in.100% certain Steven Reid will and Andy Reid wont.
Its definately not a time for experimentation and unless there is a massive injury crisis there will be no shocks in the squad

I think Finnan will be included. He looked steady for them last weekend, and barring injury this saturday (please dont be a scud) he should be ready for the challenge.

why not wait to see what happens in the PL games on the 7th of November? Steven Reid gets an extra week as does Finnan.

Ha!!.... Nah!! I get stuck into trapp over some stuff, but I've tried to avoid that one... I do believe Reid should be in the squad but I've never explicitly said Trapp's wrong for excluding him. (Thus insulating myself somewhat from the list of Trapps accomplishments that will innevitably be thrown at me for claiming to know players and player dynamics better than Il Papa)

Still think Trapp's bone idle though!!!
