Like most people say the rankings don't count for much. We'd give Denmark, Cameroon,Czech Rep, US, England and Mexico a good game.
We've moved down to 15th in the world rankings, 3 points behind Denmark.

Brazil still top, France 2nd, Spain 3rd, while the illegitimate statelet continues its unstopable slide, now at 124th.

Fukkin 'ell Eire at 124 in world !!!! I knew they were slipping but surely not that far. Now if it was the team fielded by the original and legitimate football authority in this country - The Irish Football Assoc. - I would understand it.Originally posted by brendy_eire

I think that 124th is a respectable position for the puppet state. When you consider the amount of quality football nations above them. For example, 121st Madagascar, 122nd Lesotho, 123st Benin.Originally posted by IrelandUnited

Don't forget:
114th Armenia
114th Malaysia
116th Azerbaijan
117th Botswana
118th Swaziland
119th Korea DPR
120th Mauritius
These really are superpowers of international football. Although im sum wot surprised that they are so low when you consider their tremendous scoring record of recent times!
Who put the ball in Englands net? Sheedy Sheedy!
All hail Kevin Sheedy!
Iraq (44) are above more of the "home nations" than below.
They are beating Scotland (53), Wales (67) and Nord Iron (124) and are below Us (15) and England (7).
Iraq vs Scotland-any predictions?

A disappointing 2-1 defeat for the scottish, followed by a draw with Norway, then an unlikely win over Brazil, but not enough to see them into the second roundIraq vs Scotland-any predictions?
Swaziland? Never heard of it.
Because we drew with Brazil in a friendly and they are ranked 1st do we get lots of ranking points which might push us up the table?
Do friendlies count towards rankings?
Yeah, for a competitive match the points get multiplied by 1.5 or 2 depending on competition.Originally posted by brendy_eire

Who are the "home" nations?????
"home nations" are the name given for England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The theory is that when one of the home nations goes out their fans support the others
