Rovers held in Athlone
Athlone Town 2-2 Shamrock Rovers
First Division side Athlone Town gave their new manager Aaron O’Callaghan something to smile about when they held Shamrock Rovers to a 2-2 at St Mel’s Park on Sunday.
The game started at a frantic pace as Trevor Molloy put Rovers ahead after only three minutes when he raced on to a long ball and fired past Anthony Fennelly in the Athlone goal.
